EZ Lynk custom ECM/TCM tuning for the 08-10 6.4 Ford Super Duty trucks & Cab &Chassis swapped to a Cummins engine.
With a need to properly tune the 5r110 in the market, we have finally come out with a real solution!
The problem lies in the torque base ECM logic and the many limp modes in the factory tuning, these are in place to save the 6.4 motor in the event of problems. What happens with a swapped truck is many sensors and logic is just not there and the limp modes built-in removes the torque value resulting in a drastic line pressure drop in the transmission. When this happens the flare or missed gear happens, upgraded direct/EPC helps but is not a real fix.
Without tuning you will be able to drive your truck as if it came factory with a Cummins, don't believe the myths that derating the engine is needed to shift gears. We have done many trucks pushing into the 1000HP range.
Why does this work over SCT/PCS? Simple this will full flash the ECM/TCM with our custom OS, this is the only working fix for these trucks period.
Our testing and tuning were done with a tuned 03 Common rail (running a max effort tune) and a 350,000Km (215,000 Miles) stock and well used with a low stall converter, this trans was not serviced or inspected prior to installation. Sensors hooked up MAP, oil PSI/ and coolant temp.
