Engine mounts, Adapter kits and more we use Destroked, great prices and great products, Please save yourself a headache and stay away from Facebook gimmicks
Torque converter should be new and a performance type to handle power and towing, most trans shops can help you or you can find a converter specialty shop to build one, Please save yourself a headache and stay away from Facebook gimmicks.
A/C we use a stock Dodge compressor and have Ford lines tig welded on.
The exhaust is stock dodge with the turbo elbow pin removed to allow indexing.
The lower rad hose is a flex hose Dayco 82021GL
The upper rad hose is a Dodge on the engine, Ford on the rad and aluminum tubing with a universal rad cap adapter and cap to join them.
Overflow is a universal can from Amazon, with the OEM degas removed.
The cooling fan can be the Dodge fan hooked to the Cummins ECM, wired to the Ford ECM, or you go to a mechanical fan from an early gas Dodge truck car quest or advanced 215159 is a good part number for the clutch, then use 7.3 Ford blades and it bolts up.
The alternator can be done with the Dodge alternator or the Ford alternator, if using the Ford you will need to source a bracket from someone like DCS, we have not had any luck with the one-piece bracket commonly found on Facebook Fummins Tech.
Power steering can be done with the Ford pump (DCS bracket), Destroked also has a kit to use a Ford 6.0 pump we have also used a Dodge pump with a custom plate. Lines can be joined with compression fittings from any hydraulic shop.
Throttle can be done a few ways, older cable-type apps work on newer ECMs. mount the app's sensor to the Ford pedal or even use a Dodge pedal.
For the trans tuning, we have developed the best solution for the 6.4 trucks using HP Tuners (hpt) SCT or EZ Lynk.
We do our own wiring and currently do not offer a wiring service, your best solution for wiring is Kevin Nohl at kevin@kjnrepair.com
Tuning Q&A
When needed we will remote into your computer and help/fix any issues
What about bench flashing?bench flashing is ok on something like a truck with a common rail and only the ford side but if there is an issue not being able to data log and see what's wrong is a major issue. Swap trucks have more issues due to the fact they are all unique and all built by different people, we only bench flash 6.4 ECM/TCM's for common rail trucks. If you choose to bench flash from another tuner you will more than likely get a "box tuner" used to flash the ecm and not a true custom tune, beware of where you spend your money.
What vehicles do you guys tune? We tune anything listed on our site and even take on R&D tuning for vehicles not listed
Software and dealer status, Why does this matter? Simply put in the event your flash fails for any reason (weak batteries, aftermarket devices on the can-bus etc) some companies will not help if your tune was done by an unlicensed person and/or they are using a third party "hacked" software. All of our software is 100% supported and we are dealers for all brands we tune with.
Why should I choose Fumming Tuning over anyone else? Simply put we drive these trucks and have put more R&D into our tunes than anyone else.
What about Facebook for tuning or other conversion companies? There are others out there, mainly on Facebook transmission tuning pages, that will make promises they can't keep.
some people have burnt up multiple transmissions.
some people have just had very poor-performing transmissions, and lack of ability to use full throttle.
others get tired of revisions with no improvement.
